Woman left wounded following Monday evening shooting in Prince George

PRINCE GEORGE – A woman was left with multiple gunshot wounds following a Monday evening shooting in the county and now Prince George Police is searching for the person that pulled the trigger.

According to authorities, just before 7 p.m. Monday evening, police were notified that a victim of multiple gunshot wounds had arrived at John Randolph Medical Center in Hopewell via a personal vehicle.

Through their investigation, police learned that the female victim was driven to the Hopewell hospital by an unknown individual who left the area shortly upon arrival. Based on the information and evidence recovered, authorities said they believe the incident occurred in the parking lot of the 4900 block of Bailey’s Ridge Drive.

Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the subject captured in a video, seen wearing a white hooded jacket.

The female victim was later transferred to Richmond’s VCU Medical Center for continued treatment. Her condition is unknown as of this report. Authorities said they will release further updates as their investigation progresses.
