Two hospitalized after RV pulling SUV blows tire, crashes along I-95

PRINCE GEORGE – Virginia State Police are on scene of a single vehicle crash with injuries on Interstate 95 NB at the 46mm(295 spilt). The crash occurred around 1:19 p.m.

A RV pulling a car (Chev Equinox) ran off the road to the right striking the guard rail then going down into the water. One person was transported via State Police Med-Flight with serious life-threatening injuries, another person was transported via ambulance; both to MCV.

The preliminary investigation shows the right front tire of the RV blew out causing the RV to run off the road right and strike the guardrail riding it approximately 100 feet before going into the water.

Expect delays in the area for the next several hours as cleanup continues.

The crash remains under investigation.
