Two arrested following armed robbery at PG business

PRINCE GEORGE – Prince George Police have arrested a pair of suspects in connection with an armed robbery that occurred in the overnight hours of Sunday, May 13.

In a statement, Prince George investigators said officers were called to the 12000 block of South Crater Road just off Interstate 95 along the Exit 45 corridor around 1:20 a.m. Sunday for a report of an armed robbery.

The suspect was described as a black male, 5’10” to 6’ tall; wearing a white shirt, blue  jeans and a black shirt covering his face. The described suspect entered the business, displayed a handgun, and robbed the cashier of cash. The individual fled the convenience store in a gold four-door sedan.

After a traffic stop, two suspects were apprehended in Dinwiddie County shortly after this incident occurred.  Nicoral Scott, age 35, and Daniel Freeman, age 22, both residents of Petersburg, have been charged in connection with this robbery. The charges include, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and armed robbery.

Both individuals are being held at Riverside Regional Jail.
