Registration opens Wednesday for PG COVID-19 testing set for this weekend

PRINCE GEORGE – On Sunday, May 24 from 9am to noon, a COVID-19 Point of Testing Activity with the Virginia National Guard and Crater Health District will be held at JEJ Moore Middle School, 11455 Prince George Drive, Disputanta, VA, 23842. 

The drive-thru event will begin taking registrations on Wednesday, May 20 by calling the Crater Call Center at (804) 862-8989.  There will be a limit of 120 tests performed at this location. 

Participants will not exit their vehicles during the event.

In order to be approved for testing, you must call (804) 862-8989 in advance for a screening interview.  Those that are approved for testing will receive more details about the May 24 event. 

You must bring a valid ID to the testing site. To avoid lengthy wait times, please come to the site at your appointed time.

Testing is for persons age 5 and older who have COVID-19 symptoms, have been in contact with someone with COVID-19, who are pregnant, have underlying medical conditions that put them at risk, are age 65 and older or work in a congregate setting.

Symptoms of COVID-19 may include fever, cough, shortness of breath, flu-like symptoms, muscle pain, and new loss of taste or smell.

Sunday’s testing is one of seven testing events planned across the Crater Health District through the end of this month
