PRINCE GEORGE – As Prince George Schools prepares for the upcoming school year, which is only a month-and-a-half from getting underway, the school division will be hosting a job fair seeking qualified candidates to transport the county’s most precious cargo.
On Wednesday, July 26, a school bus driver fair will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Prince George School Board Office located at 6410 Courts Drive in the county.
According to school system representatives, training will be provided for chosen candidates and no experience is required. In order to qualify, prospective drivers must be at least 21 years of age, carry a valid Virginia driver’s license, and possess a good driving record with positive DMV points.
In addition, applicants must pass a criminal background check and drug screening and be able to obtain a CDL driving permit.
During Wednesday’s job fair, on-site background checks will be available. and applicants are asked to bring their driver’s license and social security card for processing.
