PRINCE GEORGE – Investigators are working to find whoever opened fire near an apartment complex in the county’s west end, with bullets hitting occupied homes in the area overnight Saturday.
In a statement, Prince George Police said around 2:42 a.m. Saturday morning, authorities responded to the 4200 block of Anne Terrace at the Puddledock Place Apartments regarding a disturbance involving shots fired where an unknown suspect or suspects fired “numerous bullets” near the front of the apartment complex.
Police officers recovered approximately 13 cartridge cases from the scene during their investigation.
According to authorities, bullets from that disturbance struck an apartment building “in very close proximity to two young children that were sleeping.”
Prince George Police is aggressively investigating this crime and is turning to the public for assistance in bringing those involved to justice.
