PGCPS Welcomes Mrs. Raymonda Rhoades As North Elementary School’s New Assistant Principal

PRINCE GEORGE, Va. – Prince George County Public Schools is happy to announce the selection of Mrs. Raymonda Rhoades as Assistant Principal of North Elementary School for the 2020-2021 school year.

Mrs. Rhoades holds a Master of Arts in Teaching degree from Liberty University, a Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, and an Educational Leadership Certificate from James Madison University.

Mrs. Rhoades previously served as the Interim Children Services Director for the William Byrd Community House where she was responsible for the Early Childhood Program ensuring compliance for Virginia State licensure, the Virginia Star Quality Initiative, and the National Accreditation Commission requirements.

Having served as a teacher in Richmond Public Schools and Henrico County Public Schools, Mrs. Rhoades brings experience in teaching multiple grades and a wide variety of students. Her background includes experiences with positive behavior intervention systems, working with students with disabilities, serving as part of the Response to Intervention team, a member of the school leadership team, and department chair.

She has been recognized as a Martin Luther King, Jr. Preschool Teacher of the Year recipient and is the 2019-2020 Arthur Ashe, Jr. Teacher of the Year.

“I am really excited and blessed to join the Prince George County Public Schools family,” Mrs. Rhodes said. “Family means everything to me so I am really excited to become a part of this new family.”
