PRINCE GEORGE – A man is recovering after being shot multiple times as he sat inside a Prince George County home in the early morning hours of Monday.
According to Prince George Police, just before 2:30 a.m. Monday morning, officers responded to the 4400 block of Jefferson Point Lane for a report of a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The unidentified victim was lying on a couch when he was shot and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. His injuries are not considered life-threatening, police said.
As their investigation continues, authorities said there were no signs of forced entry into the residence, leading police to believe the shooter and victim are acquaintances.
At this time, no suspect descriptions are available and police are expected to release more information as they work through their investigation.
