Inmate Escape

On July 17, 2020, at 1:57 a.m., Prince George County Police responded to Riverside Regional Jail located at 500 Folar Trail in Prince George County. Riverside Regional Jail authorities reported that an inmate was mistakenly released when he provided false information to their staff.

 

The inmate, identified as Juan Pelaez-Marroquin, age 20, of Chesterfield County, was incarcerated at Riverside Regional Jail and awaiting sentencing. In January, Juan Pelaez-Marroquin pled guilty and was convicted of two charges of forcible sodomy in Chesterfield County.

 

A search of the immediate area for Juan Pelaez-Marroquin met with negative results. Attached on the second page is a photograph of Juan Pelaez-Marroquin, who is described as a Hispanic, 5’09” male, brown eyes / brown hair, and weighing approximately 180 pounds.
