Hopewell/Prince George VA, August 15, 2016 – Ed Marquez, president, partner, and director at Marc Brick Display in Prince George County, will speak at the Hopewell/Prince George Chamber’s Leadership Development Lunch on Tuesday, August 23. He will discuss how to measure success one event at a time (trade show, festival, board meeting, job fair, sales presentation, networking event, etc.
Mark Bric has been producing and marketing portable display systems since the mid-1980’s, beginning in the company’s home country of Sweden and quickly branching out to a worldwide marketplace. Today, Mark Bric is one of the leading display products companies, represented in approximately 60 countries.
The H/PG Chamber’s lunch-time program will take place from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m. at River’s Bend Grill & Bar, River’s Bend Shopping Center, 13283 Rivers Bend Boulevard, Chester, VA.
Participants at the H/PG Chamber’s Leadership Development Lunch will pay a fixed price for a light lunch: $15 for chamber members and $20 for non-members. Ed Marquez is a native of Argentina, where he graduated from the Naval Academy and served as a pilot in the Argentinean Navy before immigrating to the US in 1982 to join his father and brother. He became a naturalized citizen of the US in the late 80s.
Marquez has been involved in the display industry for more than 25 years. Before joining Mark Bric in 1989, he worked hands-on building industrial cabinetry and trade show exhibits for The Display House in Philadelphia. He was twice elected to the board of directors for the Point of Purchase Advertising Institute (POPAI) and is well known throughout all related industry groups. During his tenure at Mark Bric, he has led the effort that resulted in a 100-fold growth in revenues. Intimately involved in all aspects of Mark Bric’s business, his primary focus for many years has been the recruitment and training of premier value-added-resale partners, whose printing services are critical in the delivery of successful displays. He has spent much of his time traveling globally, visiting these premier partners, training their sales staff on all issues related to Mark Bric products, and assisting directly with their customers.
