PETERSBURG – As the holiday season gets underway, Crater Community Hospital is planning a special event to help ring in the season while benefiting the organization that serves the Southside Virginia region.
On December 14, Crater Community Hospice is planning a Christmas trip to Meadow Event Park in Doswell for its annual Illuminate Light Show and Santa’s Village tour. For $25 per person, which includes the cost of popcorn and a gift, attendees will ride in a rented motorcoach with restroom on board and travel to Doswell to experience the holiday event with an auditory backdrop of Christmas favorites for music.
Following the tour of the light show, the coach will stop at Santa’s Village to allow those on board to visit a variety of craft vendors and shop before returning to the hospice.
“The bus will leave from Crater Hospice promptly at 6:30 p.m. and return about 10:30 p.m.,” officials said. “Seating is limited to 50 people, so reserve your spot early to join us.”
Payments can be made by cash, check, or credit card due by December 12. You can bring your payments to Crater Community Hospice, located at 3916 Crater Road in the City of Petersburg.
Proceeds raised from the event will benefit the hospice.
