PRINCE GEORGE – Prince George County will commemorate its 314th birthday on Saturday, July 15th at the Regional Heritage Center, 4:00 to 7:00pm.
The public is invited to join in the Founders’ Day festivities that will bring ”characters” out of County history to the Center’s lawn as well as a special performance by students from J.E. J. Moore Middle School to the 4:00pm opening.
The celebration will feature the bluegrass music of Jack Abeel and Margaret Graham.
Barbecue on the lawn will be served 5:00 to 6:15, followed by birthday cake and ice cream.
Guests are encouraged to browse all of the Center’s exhibits as well as plans for the future Fire and EMS Museum and the upcoming River Gallery.
A cornhole competition will be ongoing in the side yard. Seating on bales of straw will be available or bring a chair/blanket and enjoy the summer afternoon.
Center volunteers will be standing by to answer questions or provide information.
Please, no pets or coolers.
